Our

Our
People:
In the current
news, you will hear surrounding counties of St. Louis have an
unemployment rate below the national average. You will also hear St.
Louis it's self has a rate well above the national average.
Those facts
become a little relevance if you work at MEMC,
Hussmann,
Ford,
Emerson,
or Charter
in St. Louis. Even less relevant if you are currently a laid-off
Facility Engineer. This is a call for job leads to help one of our
own members. We can show our members and the community we are there
for them, in their time of need.
Let's add yet
another AFE success story to our legacy. We have beefed up our career
resource area in an effort to help. Please
email any St. Louis Facility Engineering job leads to
webmaster@AFEStLouis.org
The steering
committee have a great year planned for us, as well as some tentative
plans for all of 2002! (see online
calendar)
Our
City:
Most people do
not realize there is terrorism occurring in their own back yard. This is
do to the behind the scenes work of the good people at the FBI,
and other law enforcement agencies. We started out helping our readers
with resources to secure their
facilities from crime.
Then, on a
national level AFE.org started a relief
fund for those who had fell victim to the attacks.
And now our
local chapter gives you the opportunity get your questions answered at
our next meeting. Who better qualified then
the Security Programs Manager and Supervisor of the Foreign
Counterintelligence and Counterterrorism Programs of the FBI St. Louis
Division.
We also encourage you to follow up the print version
